Scavenger Hunt on Francophonie

Communication and Culture using Francophone Authentic Resources

Photography is a vehicle for teaching communication and culture. Visual images relay so much information. I depend heavily on pictures in teaching. My goals have been to:

• Use authentic resources that are respectful and positive for students to gain information about other cultures
• Organize the lessons on a set of vocabulary so that there is repetition of terms that are being learned to promote increased fluency in communication
• Choose themes that are engaging and interesting

To date I have added eight sets of Francophone resources to this site and I would like to list them here for your review before I add in two new resources that can be employed to solidify the learning of culture. All of what you will find below relies heavily on visual images.

After this sequence, students will have seen and read about culture in many different countries. Students can show their learning and keep learning with the following two new activities.
