Picture/Video Talk: Loisirs et activités en Polynésie française

Posted by: Catherine Ousselin

Based on Cécile Lainé’s unit “What do I have in common with a Francophone person“, I created this picture/video presentation that could be transformed into a PearDeck or other listening/reading activity. Students will explore the products, practices, and perspectives of Polynesian activities and sports through three encounters with young people.

Niveau: Novice Mid/High (but could be leveled up)

Thème: Les activités et les loisirs

Connexion à la francophonie: La Polynésie française

Mode d’emploi: This lesson is designed for the “sports/hobbies/activities” topic and “Identités/Tout sur moi” theme. Guide the students through the introductory pictures/vocabulary of some Polynesian products. Feel free to add more. I use my personal pictures from my trips to expand. There are more in the AATF’s shared Google Pictures album. Students will watch multiple videos about the preferences of the three young Polynesians and answer questions about their age, physical description, preferences, and add their own opinions about the activities.
