In this activity students will organize Louis’ day using 20 images. They will paste/tape the images in a logical order and then a sentence will be written for each pic using reflexive verbs and other verbs as well. This can be used for many different tenses. There is also a digital option linked to the document.
Teacher: I like to do this activity in pairs. If you do, then you will need one of these sheets below per two students.
- Before the activity, you or a TA need to print out your copies and then cut up all of the pieces. Place them all in an envelope..
Directions for students:
- Get out one piece of lined paper for you and your partner.
- Place both of your names on the paper.
- Take all of the little pictures out of the envelope and your first job is to put them in a LOGICAL order for Louis’ daily routine.
- Using the front and back of the paper you need to attach the pictures to the paper with tape or glue, leaving space to the side or below each picture to write a sentence.
- You will write 20 sentences in total using the present tense to describe Louis’ daily routine.
* At least eight of the sentences have to use reflexive verbs.
* The remaining sentences you will choose a non-reflexive verb to use. You may only
repeat a verb once.
- Using your transition word list you need to have at least 10 transitions.
Note: During my remote year I still did this assignment, but did it individually. Here is the link to this assignment, just slightly tweaked.
