Future tense | France Trip Escape Room

Posted by: Ryan Green

Future tense review game that lasts a class period/block. Students should be in groups of 4-6. Winner is whoever finishes it all first or who gets the furthest along before the class ends. Task order can be switched around in order to target certain skills or concepts as needed.

It’s the day before a student trip to France. You and your classmates have to attend a brief pre-departure meeting in the lecture hall where your teacher will meet you to discuss the final details. Once everyone enters the room all of the doors instantly shut and lock. Your teacher is nowhere to be found!

Everyone starts to panic! Suddenly, someone notices that there are énigmes (riddles) left behind by your teacher that suggest how to get out of the room. You must successfully complete each énigme in order to find the keys and unlock the lecture hall doors in time.
