Jangalma (Educational review website in Senegal))

Posted by: Katy Wheelock

This submission is for a resource, not a specific unit or lesson. This educational review site’s target audience is middle and high school students in Senegal, in sixième through terminale. The site is in French including summaries of all the matières (SVT, philosophie, français, mathématique, anglais, phsyique et chimie, géographie, histoire) taught in these levels. This could be useful for teachers of French for comparing what is taught in Senegal, but also for having additional interpretive reading content. As you look at the more advanced levels, you will encounter Senegalese and other African literature, as well as Senegalese history topics. Specific grammar themes can be reviewed under the “français” tab, especially under the middle school years. The site appears to have links to some quizzes, exercises and videos available for some topics.
